Here’s something about capybaras that startled even me: we are great muses! I mean, my owner wrote a book–a whole book!–in just five months after getting me. She didn’t have anything worth writing about before that.
But that’s not where it ends. Terry Howell Stanley of Stanley Arts recently painted me and I look GREAT. This photo does not do it justice. In reality the background uses metallic colors that just sweep you off your paws. And the red outline draws your eye toward me, where it belongs. The painting is gorgeous and my owner is going to get it framed to hang in a place of honor and esteem in our house.
Thank you so much for this wonderful painting, Terry!

Me with my painting by Terry Stanley
Caplin you are just fabulous. You have a very adoring public. And what a regal bearing! You know that it does not suit you to be a biter. As royalty, you have to maintain a brave face at all times, even when the servants and common folk are getting on your nerves. I know–I live with a Lord, and he tolerates me and the other bunnies constantly, never letting his royal bearing slip.
What a lovely animal and what a great painting.
So handsome! No painting could do justice to you, Caplin, but this one comes close!
