Capybara Vacation

My idea of a vacation

See that photo above? That is my idea of a vacation. You go someplace a little bit off the beaten track (that is not my usual couch), you spend some time admiring the view, then you go back to the way things were before. It helps you appreciate what you have while giving you the tiniest glimpse into the scary world of the way other capybaras live. I have no desire to emulate Melly and Coral by flying off to some remote corner of the globe to see capybaras I do not even know. Caplin Day 2013

Me and Caplin Rous

Melly’s Blog:

He changed other people’s lives too, teaching people around the world about the intelligent and affectionate nature of capybaras. When I lost him on January 4th, 2011, I lost a huge part of myself. A Super Capy in Tatarstan

Su Duñğızı

Do you remember when I hurt my paw way back January? If not you can read Oh! My Aching Paw! Well, at that time we had a special offer of a Super Capy with a paw bandage just like mine. Here is the story of one of those intrepid Super Capys. It is truly amazing. And, in case you don’t know where Tartarstan is (I didn’t!), I’m including a map.
