Sharing corn with chickens
Sorry there have been so very few posts about Mudskipper Rous this year. It’s not because of her. She is doing fine. She’s as bad as ever, getting into more and more trouble everyday. The problem is me and my vision. Ever since my brain hemorrhage, I just can’t get motivated about taking photos. This is probably because it is so hard to compose them for me. Also, I can’t see the whole photo at one time. Also, all photos look bad to me now. So I’ve been remiss. Still, as the year comes to a close, I thought you’d like to get an update on her.
Two cat naps
I thought you might like to see that Mamba and Driftwood are getting along fine. Mamba is 1.5 years old and Driftwood is just over two. Driftwood is a big cat. He’s just under 14 lbs. Mamba is a little cat, I think he’s nine pounds. He looks like a kitten next to Driftwood.
Climbing on the furniture
Mussy hasn’t given up climbing on the furniture. A chair with wheels is a challenge though, even for her. We are getting some remodeling done, which explains the plastic sheet. Muddy does not like this AT ALL. The constant noise and people walking around is very hard on her. Hopefully it will be done soon.
Tell me they won’t be coming back.
During quieter times, she takes up her old position by the fireplace.
I forgot to mention the chickens in the top photo. We now have ten little chicks who are growing like crazy. They are trying to make friends with Muddy but she is trying not to make friends with them. We’ll see how that goes.
I will try to post more in the future but I’m not making any promises.
Season’s Greetings!
I have faithfully clicked on your website once or twice a week since your last post. I am sorry that you have health issues. I really am happy that you are all right and that your pets are progressing.
Please try and post more frequently even if its only one or two pictures.
Best regards for a safe, happy new year!
Melanie, ‘hope 2017 is kinder to you and that Mudskipper Rous will begin to better toe the line behaviorally. I’ve checked Muddy’s (and your) site regularly since Caplin was a little capy-let. Your site has been a mainstay in my recovery from cancer, along with my regular medical treatments and workouts. No matter how technologically and biologically advanced the treatment, I maintain nothing works as well (with the exception of a supportive spouse) as regular contact with animals and being able to witness their lives and care (even if via the net). God bless you and Muddy and I look forward as always to your posts. Is Mudskipper over 115 pounds yet?
