You might recall that I was in Washington D.C. for the Blog Paws conference. The timing couldn’t have been better. I got there the day after they had their largest earthquake in 100 years and I left on the day Hurricane Irene barreled through. Surprisingly, the conference was still a big success.

Blog Paws 2011 – BZTAT

Capycoppy & Super Gari with a painting of Brewskie Butt

There was a lot to learn and a lot to do at Blog Paws 2011 and almost all of it seemed to involve posing Capycoppy and Super Gari with various props. Some of my favorites were the amazing paintings by artist BZTAT. I have always loved BZ’s work, including the above painting of her famous cat, Brewskie Butt. I could hardly pass up the opportunity to have the plushies drinking his “morning brew.”

Blog Paws 2011 (Part 1)

At the Austin Airport

I never thought I would say this, but I just got back from a conference to which I took two plush animals. And I didn’t even feel like a fool. You can see Capycoppy and Super Gari perched on a sign at the Austin airport. If posing plush animals in public places doesn’t make you self-conscious, nothing will.
