Grazing Buddies

Grazing

I guess most people know that because of my bad teeth, I am supposed to do more grazing. Melly even planted a nice pasture full of grass that she said was just for me. Only–no big surprise here–she lied. I actually have to share my pasture with some other animals.

Capy Diablog: Favorite Foods

Gari & Dobby

This post introduces what I hope will be a continuing feature, the Capy Diablog. The Diablog features a conversation (or dialog) between two capybaras, Garibaldi Rous and Dobby Winnick. Most of you probably already know Dobby from his blog, Dobby the Capybara. Dobby is actually Caplin Rous’ full younger brother, but he has become like a big brother to Garibaldi. A version of this post also exists on Dobby’s blog. Continue reading “Capy Diablog: Favorite Foods” »

Backyard Adventure

Start of an adventure

Let’s get something straight right out the outset: this post is about an adventure but I do not like adventures. One thing I don’t like about them is that they always start with me having to wear my harnesses and my leash. Is a torture session an adventure? Not unless you are really warped. Remembering Caplin Rous: 2008 D

Caplin Rous eating a popsicle

Owner’s blog:

Continuing on my memories of Caplin Rous as we approach what would have been his 5th birthday on July 10th. Don’t forget that if you’d like to buy a Caplin Rous Commemorative Necklace, they are on sale for $15 until his birthday. Supplies are limited.

The photo above shows why the necklace features both a capybara and a popsicle. There is nothing cuter than a capybara eating a popsicle but for some reason Garibaldi Rous will not do it. I guess that’s okay, it makes Caplin more unique.

July 10th is Caplin Day, aka Capybara Appreciation Day. Please have a popsicle in memory of Caplin Rous. Continue reading “Remembering Caplin Rous: 2008 D” »

Oakley Joins the Family

Oakley & Maple

I am so excited to tell everyone about my new co-pet, Oakley. He is a rabbit, a Dutch bunny just like Maple Bunny but a different color. That is him standing up so proudly in the photo above. He’s cute isn’t he. And he’s friendly. We hit it off right away.
