How could they go off and leave me just to see wild capybaras? Am I not better than any wild capy? Do they not love me more? And the whole time they were gone, no one went swimming with me!  A scary start I think my birthday party was a surprise party because no one was more surprised than me when a DOG showed up! That is Peri (short for Periscope). She has visited us before (read my Dog Invasion post) so I guess she is a friend? Melly said she is anyway but she is the scariest friend I have.  Nose to nose to nose On Sunday my friend Sheldon brought over his two Boston terrier puppies, Juju and Tali. (Tali is in blue and Juju in purple.) When I heard dogs were coming to visit, you can imagine I was none too excited. I decided to go hide somewhere in the house. That is pretty hard now that I am a full grown capybara, not nearly as many places to hide, but I figured I’d think of something.
 New Year's at my house
This was my first real New Year’s with my family. Last year it was just me and Rick because Coral and Melly were down in Panama looking for the elusive lesser capybara. But this year I got to see what it is all about. |
