I am a capybara. I am cute. I have to get used to it. There is nothing I can do about it. But it comes with a cost and that cost is visitors fawning over me, feeding me, scratching and petting me, giving me treats and hugging me. The only one of those things I don’t like is hugging. Capybaras don’t like to be hugged, it reminds us of anacondas.
There are some things I don’t understand about humans. Take, for example, the photo of me with John Berman from ABC’s news program, 20/20. He asked me to kiss him! So why is he making that face? And, according to his ABC profile, he has been a war correspondent. Is he really afraid of a capybara?
When I blogged about my new co-pets a little while ago, I didn’t mention the hamsters. That’s because I knew they would eventually deserve a blog of their own.
