I’m starting this post with a cute photo of Prince Dobalob, aka Dobby(e) Winnick. Isn’t he adorable? Well, get over it because the whole rest of this post is not going to be about Dobby at all, it’s going to be about my journey to get to him. The journey starts in Buda, TX, detours through Los Angeles, and ends in Seattle with the famous capybara. This installment is about the LA section of the trip. Getting Better

Out for a walk in the sun

Melly’s Blog:

Just a quick update on how Garibaldi Rous is doing, which is surprisingly well! He is a resilient little capybara if he is anything! In the photo above, you can see that he went out for a walk around the house today. Now that Stacy Winnick has finally left, it seems we can rid ourselves of the Seattle weather that she brought with her. Today the sun was out and it got into the low 60s, perfect for Gari’s first serious venture outside since he lost his tooth. He didn’t spend too much time outside today but tomorrow will be even warmer and I am going to move his little wading pool back outside so I think he’ll enjoy that.

Stacy Winnick is Visiting!

I have a red nose just like Rudolph the reindeer

I am worried today.. Dobbye Winnick’s owner Stacy is visiting Melly. When she does that, bad things happen. Almost every time she comes I end up going to A&M for a vet visit. Last time she was here I did the A&M Vet School open house. That wasn’t as bad as getting knocked out and having your teeth drilled down or whatever they do when I’m unconscious, but it wasn’t something I’d do voluntarily, although Melly always volunteers me.
