Since Maple WoMER has been in the house for the last week, Melly has been using the fireplace screens to lock her in the dinning room. I have to admit that I hardly ever go in the dinning room but it still makes me mad to have it blocked off. Capybara Scarf

Knitted Capybara Scarf

The web is a wondrous thing. You never know what you will find there. What I found today is that someone is developing a pattern for a beautiful capybara scarf! Oh internets, I love you!

The pattern come from Not Just About Knitting. And you’ll love the subtitle for this blog:  Outlining the minutia of Geri’s life as a retiree. How great is that? I mean, I am assuming she pronounces Geri as Gari and not as Jerry, but I think that’s a safe assumption. And the scarf is kind-of like my outline.

I hope everyone knows about the adorable puzzles we are selling for the ROUS Foundation for Capybara Veterinary Medicine. Melly started the Foundation right after Caplin Rous died as a way of honoring him. The puzzles are especially good for that because they are images of him and the money goes to his Foundation. Where are we going?

Ever since I got Garibaldi Rous I have been worried about him. We really don’t know what happened to Caplin Rous and so little is known about capybaras that I now feel like everything I do is potentially deadly. This is one reason I am establishing the ROUS Foundation in conjunction with the vet school at Texas A&M University. It is also the reason I felt it was important to get Gari in for a well-capybara checkup as soon as possible.
