Capy Diablog: Favorite Foods

Gari & Dobby

This post introduces what I hope will be a continuing feature, the Capy Diablog. The Diablog features a conversation (or dialog) between two capybaras, Garibaldi Rous and Dobby Winnick. Most of you probably already know Dobby from his blog, Dobby the Capybara. Dobby is actually Caplin Rous’ full younger brother, but he has become like a big brother to Garibaldi. A version of this post also exists on Dobby’s blog. Continue reading “Capy Diablog: Favorite Foods” »

Dog Invasion!

Sunday brunch in the pool

Sunday was a beautiful day here in central Texas. We’ve been having highs in the low 80s, which makes for pretty good pool weather, especially considering it is December. Backyard Adventure

Start of an adventure

Let’s get something straight right out the outset: this post is about an adventure but I do not like adventures. One thing I don’t like about them is that they always start with me having to wear my harnesses and my leash. Is a torture session an adventure? Not unless you are really warped. In the photo above, you can see how I attempted to sever my earthly bonds and commit myself to the aquatic realm. I know, I have such a cute look in my eye that it is hard to see my anger. Trust me, it is there.

Lumpy Gari (Part 3)

My butt hurts

This is the third and final installment of the story of my recent trip to the vet at Texas A&M.

There aren’t any photos of me in the car on the way home from the vet. That is because I was miserable. I stood behind Rick’s seat the whole drive. I didn’t eep. I didn’t want anything to eat. I didn’t try to crawl on Rick’s lap. I didn’t watch out the rear window to make sure Sheldon was following. I didn’t do anything. When we got home I continued to stand and not do anything. Melly says Dr. Hoppes gave me a shot of pain medication before I woke up. Either that wasn’t very strong or my pain would have been even worse.
