The Capybara in Winter
As you can see from the above photo, Melly is feeling well. She is up to some of her old antics, such as forcing me to wear a Texas A&M scarf. Fact is, I am not a fan of Texas A&M since that is where I go to the vet. Knowing that, you can see that I am not quite 100% or I would have bitten her. In the pond, right side up
If you’ll recall, Melly spent a lot of time last winter fixing up my pond. At first I thought she was ruining it by taking out all of the irises that I used to hide in. But then she put in a new liner so the pond actually holds water. I still can’t decide if I like the new pond better than the old one, or if I like the old one better than the new. Let's go for a walk
It did a strange thing at my house this week…it RAINED! Rain is when water falls out of the sky. I think it might have to be cloudy and noisy too with flashes of bright light. But the main thing is the water. It falls everywhere, even on a capybara if he is sitting outside. But not on a Melly. A Melly says she will not go for a walk while it is raining.

A rainy day
It rained a little yesterday so Melly wouldn’t take me for a walk. I don’t get that. It seems like that is the perfect time for a walk. What could be better than the comforting caress of water rolling off your fur while you explore strange and potentially dangerous places? Nevertheless, she wouldn’t do it so I had to make my own fun.
