Did you know I have cats? I do! Two of them. Most of you have met Driftwood. He is white and black and fluffy. Mamba is black and little and slinky. The cats get a special food called “cat food.” It comes in two flavors, wet and dry. I like them both even though MelT tells me I am not a cat, and besides which, I am an herbivore. Whatever.

If you’ve been following Skipper since I got her, you’ll recall that she didn’t like the water when she was a baby. I finally got her to go in the pond (Pond 1) when she was about five months old. Above is a photo of her a couple of months later. Unfortunately, Pond 1 had not been very photogenic for a long time so I don’t have many pictures of her in it even though she came to love swimming there. I am not going to make that mistake with Pond 2! You are going to see so many photos that you are going to get sick of them!

A Hole in the Yard

Honestly, you never know what MelT will do. The above photo shows my predecessor, Garibaldi Rous, climbing out of my old pond. Only that doesn’t really look like my old pond — here after referred to as pond 1. Pond 1 was never that blue. Nothing was ever that blue. But that is what she’d like you to imagine so I guess I’ll go along with it. For now.

My First TV Production

Caplin Day is coming!

Before we get started on my amazing experience with TV, let me mention something even more important. Caplin Day is coming! Caplin Day, also known as Capybara Appreciation Day, is celebrated on July 10th, Caplin Rous’ birthday. He would have been 10 this year so this is a big one.
