I am worried today.. Dobbye Winnick’s owner Stacy is visiting Melly. When she does that, bad things happen. Almost every time she comes I end up going to A&M for a vet visit. Last time she was here I did the A&M Vet School open house. That wasn’t as bad as getting knocked out and having your teeth drilled down or whatever they do when I’m unconscious, but it wasn’t something I’d do voluntarily, although Melly always volunteers me. My 3rd Birthday

A scary start

I think my birthday party was a surprise party because no one was more surprised than me when a DOG showed up! That is Peri (short for Periscope). She has visited us before (read my Dog Invasion post) so I guess she is a friend? Melly said she is anyway but she is the scariest friend I have. 3rd Birthday Preview

Wow! This was the best birthday party EVER. But you know how it is after a big party, you’re really not capable of doing anything requiring cognitive thought. Sorry to say, the same thing is true of capybaras.

I even asked Leopolda and Cassio to write something up. But if tortoises are slow before they’ve been partying, they are glacial afterward.

I’m afraid you are just going to have to wait until tomorrow night (my real birthday) to hear about the festivities in detail. In the meantime, you have just these two photos to whet your imaginations!

We’ve been having some beautiful weather here lately so I have been spending a lot of time outside. As you can see from the photo above, I am not the only one who appreciates a little sunshine. 2013 Or Bust!

2013 is coming and I’m facing a dilemma. Everyone is supposed to make a New Year’s resolution that will make them a better person and/or capybara. I’m stumped. Being a capybara is pretty much perfection any way you look at it. How am I supposed to improve? I’m hoping my fans will leave comments on this post to give me some ideas. Remember it has to actually make me better and Melly says it cannot involve more biting.
