 Do we look alike? Melanie’s Post: I know you’ve seen that photo before, but it is a good example of this post’s topic: All Things Capybara. You wouldn’t believe how few capybara items there are available worldwide. Too few. Way too few. But if anyone is a collector of such items, it is me. So in this post, I’m going to share a few of my most interesting capybara artifacts.

You might recall that I was in Washington D.C. for the Blog Paws conference. The timing couldn’t have been better. I got there the day after they had their largest earthquake in 100 years and I left on the day Hurricane Irene barreled through. Surprisingly, the conference was still a big success.  It's good to have friends Today was supposed to be the end of the world according to some humans. We animals never bought into it, really. But I was still happy to have a couple of my closest friend plushies with me for my morning nap. You probably recognize the one on my right, that is Capycoppy. The one on the left is Blaccarat. He is a plush rat that Stacy Winnick brought all the way from Washington state. When he saw how much better the weather is here, he decided not to go back.  Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas Everyone!I hear that it’s the most wonderful time of the year right now but I don’t know what to make of that. |
