They’re Back!

Acting aloof

Melly and Coral are FINALLY back from Brazil! I know I should be happy, but I was a little mad too. How could they go off and leave me just to see wild capybaras? Am I not better than any wild capy? Do they not love me more? And the whole time they were gone, no one went swimming with me! Sure, my Rick kept me company in the pool but not for very long and he only leans over the side, he never comes in the water. Continue reading “They’re Back!” »

Capy Diablog: Favorite Foods

Gari & Dobby

This post introduces what I hope will be a continuing feature, the Capy Diablog. The Diablog features a conversation (or dialog) between two capybaras, Garibaldi Rous and Dobby Winnick. Most of you probably already know Dobby from his blog, Dobby the Capybara. Dobby is actually Caplin Rous’ full younger brother, but he has become like a big brother to Garibaldi. The Serial Pooler (cont.)

Anything for a treat

This post is a continuation of my previous post, The Serial Pooler.

You might have gotten the idea that my life is easy from reading the previous post. Well, it’s not true. I have my share of hardship, let me tell you. Do you see that photo above? That’s the kind of thing I have to put up with to earn my treats. And that is just the start. Do not read any further if you care about the Dignity of Capybaras!

Lumpy Gari (Part 3)

My butt hurts

This is the third and final installment of the story of my recent trip to the vet at Texas A&M.

There aren’t any photos of me in the car on the way home from the vet. That is because I was miserable. I stood behind Rick’s seat the whole drive. I didn’t eep. I didn’t want anything to eat. I didn’t try to crawl on Rick’s lap. I didn’t watch out the rear window to make sure Sheldon was following. I didn’t do anything. When we got home I continued to stand and not do anything. Melly says Dr. Hoppes gave me a shot of pain medication before I woke up. Either that wasn’t very strong or my pain would have been even worse.
