An Afternoon With Friends

The new me

The new me

Yo! It’s me again, Mudskipper Rous. I haven’t written in awhile so we have some things to catch up on. Let’s get the big one out of the way right off the bat.

I’m a girl!

Introducing Wesley and Fiona

Wesley and Fiona

I’ve been pretty depressed since Garibaldi Rous died. There are now two huge capybara-shaped holes in my heart and that is very, very hard to live with. I guess Rick sensed that when he suggested that we go visit the capybaras at the Snake Farm Zoo in New Braunfels, Texas, which is only about thirty minutes from our house in Buda. Biting Leopolda

My after pool run

Winston Bumblebee Barcode the 1st and me as Super Capys

Wow! This was the best birthday party EVER. But you know how it is after a big party, you’re really not capable of doing anything requiring cognitive thought. Sorry to say, the same thing is true of capybaras.

Party time!

I even asked Leopolda and Cassio to write something up. But if tortoises are slow before they’ve been partying, they are glacial afterward.

I’m afraid you are just going to have to wait until tomorrow night (my real birthday) to hear about the festivities in detail. In the meantime, you have just these two photos to whet your imaginations!
