Caplin Rous, a 2-year-old capybara, enjoys a good long scratch. This video show how capybaras puff up their fur when they are happy. It also captures some of his noises. The main noise is “I’m happy but I want something.” Our new rabbit, Maple, makes her film debut and is a bit of a pest. Toward the end of the video she climbs on Caplin’s back.
