I’ve Got Chickens!

These are some of my baby chickens. I got them back in October but I didn’t get around to blogging about them. They don’t look like this anymore. They’re still cute, but different…and much bigger!

Now they are big enough to cause problems. Whenever I am trying to eat my corn, they are trying to eat my corn, too! I try to run them off but they just come right back. And they outnumber me.

I don’t feel guilty about keeping all my corn to myself, it is MY corn, after all. They get other stuff to eat.

There are too many of them!

I have to lie down and hold my corn between my paws to save it from their ravaging beaks. This leaves me open to attack from behind. Luckily, they are chickens so they can’t figure that out.

Blackie
Blackie

I suppose chickens are pretty in their own way. At least MelT says they are. I don’t like those red things on their heads. They look like gaping wounds with strings of dried blood hanging out.

Chestnut
Chestnut

Chestnut is a better looking chicken than Blackie because her ugly facial red-things are not as big. Also, she is closer to capybara color.

Walnut

All of the chickens are different colors so that even humans can tell them apart. Normally humans can’t tell even other humans apart every well, not to mention animals.

I thought you might want to see my other co-pets too. It’s kind of cute the way Winston Bumblebee Barcode the First is hiding behind me. It’s like a human hiding behind a tree trunk, I can still see you!

Mamba
Mamba

Mamba is the mystery cat, no one ever gets to see him. MelT says this is because he was a feral kitten and is still afraid of people. But I wasn’t a feral capybara and I am still afraid of people. It doesn’t make any sense.

I like to eat! We could do that together! Except MelT says they might step on me.

Well, that’s it for now. You could comment on my post and tell me what co-pets you have. Especially if you have chickens, I like to know other people are sharing my misery.
