I have often said that my nose is my cutest feature. I don’t get much argument about that. (Some people think it is my eyes but they are just wrong.) But here’s something you may not know about my nose: it changes over time!
Okay, you’re probably thinking that my nose grows as I grow. Maybe you’re even thinking that it gets bigger either faster or slower than the rest of my body so that maybe my nose wasn’t quite so hugantic when I was a baby ‘bara. But that is not it.
Maybe you’re thinking my nose isn’t as narrow and pointy as it was when I was a baby. I’m actually not sure about that. It might have gotten a bit more, let’s say robust, over time but who can judge these things?
Are you starting to see what I’m getting at yet? Only the nose knows, as the saying goes.
Okay, you must have noticed it by now. But just in case you haven’t, here’s another shot.
I hope you are not thinking that my nose is not as cute as it used to be because that is not it at all! My nose is plenty cute, let me tell you. People love my nose.
Now you should be able to get it unless you really haven’t been paying attention.
Yup, my nose went from pink to black! Turns out you can tell a capy’s age by the color of their nose. Did you notice how my nose started out solid pink. During my second year it got more and more freckled. Finally all the freckles merged and now, as an adult capy, I have a beautiful, sophisticated, black nose.
I know a few human children and I have been watching their noses carefully. As far as I can tell, they do not change color. You’ll have to use some other method to guess their ages.
