Me with my friends Rawil & Golnur from Tatarstan

Mudskipper’s post:

You might not know this, but I have friends from all over the world! Well, not exactly. I have friends from North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. This makes me happy! But I don’t have any friends from Antarctica, this makes me sad.

How do I know where my friends are? I asked them on my Facebook page a couple of weeks ago. Funny thing is, I have almost 800 friends on Facebook but only 114 commented on my post to let me know where they are. Iwonder if they are too shy. Or maybe they don’t know where they are? Anything is possible with humans.

I did find out that my 114 friends come from 28 US states and 24 countries! Surprisingly, none of those countries is Japan. That’s strange because the Japanese, rightly, worship us.

where my friends are in the USA

I have (at least) 62 friends who live in the United States. I wish that map were completely blue, but I’m getting close! Currently I have: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massecuttes, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. I listed them all out because some people might not recognize the states by their location, I know I can’t. MelT found all the states to highlight for me.

My friends around the world

You can see in the map above where all of my friends are from all over the world.Sadly, I have only one friend in the entire continent of Africa. And only one friend in China (Hong Kong), the most populous country in the world, human-wise. But even so, you can see that I have friends in a whole lot of countries. Out of my 114 friends who reported their country, I have 52 who do not live in the USA. These are the countries where I have friends: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Peru, Philippines, Russia ( Tatarstan), Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The netherlands, and The United Kingdom.

While I may not be as accomplished a capybara ambassador as Caplin or Garibaldi, I am well on my way!

I would love to hear where you live, even if your state or country is already marked on the map. It makes me feel proud to know I am making the world a better place.
