I went for a walk out in the front pasture with my owner yesterday. I’ve been a pretty good capybara lately so I don’t have to be on my leash. The Snarl

My snarling face

Do I look fearsomely scary in the photo above? I should! That is my snarl. Coral took this photo of me when she was staying with us. I used this face on her all the time trying to scare her away. Eventually, it worked, although it did take much longer than I was expecting.

I think part of the reason my snarl doesn’t scare people is because I also make this face when I am happy or playing. We capybaras don’t have a lot of diversity in facial expressions so each one has to serve multiple functions.

My Best Feature

I have often said that my nose is my cutest feature. I don’t get much argument about that. (Some people think it is my eyes but they are just wrong.) But here’s something you may not know about my nose: it changes over time!
