Melanie’s Post: Caplin was born on July 10, 2007, a day that changed the world. At least for me. He died on January 3, 2011, a day that destroyed the world. For me, but also for everyone who had ever met him and even those who never got the chance. Caplin enriched the entire planet. He can ever be forgotten.  A loveable nose Melanie’s Post: I always said that Caplin was dignified and Garibaldi was a clown. The photo above demonstrates that. He was never the staid, thoughtful, discerning capybara that Caplin was, and he never strove for it. Gari, the Capybara Clown.  Garibaldi Rous Melanie’s post: Today would have been Garibaldi (Gari) Rous’ eighth birthday. It’s a day to take some time to remember him. For those of you who weren’t following the blog then, I hope you will look back to the posts between Jan. 2011 through Feb. 2014, the short time that Gari lived with me.
