What a Weekend!

I had a terrible weekend last weekend because of how sore I was after my latest dental procedure so I wasn’t sure if I was looking forward to this weekend or not. I had a lot of Capybara Ambassador duties to see to and I was thinking I would rather just sit in the pool by myself all day and sleep. Sleeping is the capybara equivalent of reading (or watching TV for those of you who don’t read).

I guess most people know that because of my bad teeth, I am supposed to do more grazing. Melly even planted a nice pasture full of grass that she said was just for me. Only–no big surprise here–she lied. I actually have to share my pasture with some other animals.

Capy Diablog: Favorite Foods

This post introduces what I hope will be a continuing feature, the Capy Diablog. The Diablog features a conversation (or dialog) between two capybaras, Garibaldi Rous and Dobby Winnick. Most of you probably already know Dobby from his blog, Dobby the Capybara. Dobby is actually Caplin Rous’ full younger brother, but he has become like a big brother to Garibaldi. This is the earliest known photo of me sleeping, right after I came to live with Melly and Rick. I am 11 months old in this photo and adapting well to my new home. But why, you may ask, do I have a tape measure around my neck? That is something Rick dreamed up to get me used to being harnessed. I ate it a few days later.
