 I’m shy A Skipper Post: Do you see me in that photo above? No? Well, I am hiding underneath that blanket. MelT says I still look cute, even when she can’t see me. I guess that’s true because the people from Inside Edition thought I was cute, too. That’s right! I am now a bonafide TV star! This post is going to give you an inside look at filming for Inside Edition.  Caplin Day is coming! Before we get started on my amazing experience with TV, let me mention something even more important. Caplin Day is coming! Caplin Day, also known as Capybara Appreciation Day, is celebrated on July 10th, Caplin Rous’ birthday. He would have been 10 this year so this is a big one. Of course, we are also celebrating Garibaldi (Gari) Rous, and all other capybaras living or dead. Continue reading “My First TV Production” »  Japanese TV crew A Melanie’s Mondays post (on Thursday): Skipper and I didn’t post last week because we were stressed out about doing a segment for a Japanese TV show. We didn’t quite catch the name of the show–because it was in Japanese–but we do know that it airs once per quarter and is about cute animals. Skipper’s got the cute part down!  My adorable nose is going to be on TV I hope everyone remembers how Cristian Dimitrius came all the way from Brazil to film me for a TV show called Domingão Aventura, which mean Sunday Adventure in Portuguese. (If you missed my blog post on it you can read it here: Domingão Aventura.) Well, the time has come for my cute little nose to make my big Brazilian appearance! If you live in Brazil, or if you can get Brazilian TV somehow, be sure to watch for me! The show is Domingão do Faustao, Sunday Afternoon at Globo TV. My part should be on at about 7 pm.
 A big day starts at dawn I’ve been having some pretty big adventures lately, filming for My Crazy Obsession and visiting Cedar Creek Elementary School, for example. But Friday, May 11th was bigger than either of those. It was kind of like those two days combined because I was filming for a British TV show called My Giant Pet and I went to a charity fund raiser called Kiss the Critter. Big adventures are big trouble, if you ask me. |
